Infrastructure and Learning Resources
Vidyasagar Mahavidyalaya has a campus of 1.37 acres land. In a short span of 15 years of its existence the college has built up infrastructure and learning resources to run the academic programmes.It has 8500 sq.ft. built up area. There are enough rooms for holding the classes and to house the office. The classrooms are maintained with enough lighting and ventilated properly. The college has a master plan for future infrastructural development to keep pace with its academic growth. The infrastructure of the college is maintained by the management out of the grants received from the government and by itself. The college ensures optimum utilisation of its infrastructure facility and allows it to be used by external agencies occasionally. The campus is kept clean by a part time sweeper of the college.
Library and Reading Room
There is a library in the college. The carpet area of the library is 1152 Sq.ft.
The library is kept open from 10.30 a.m.to 5.30 p.m. in all working days. There is a reading room with seating capacity of 40 for the students.The college has a 05 KV generator of its own for uninterrupted supply of electricity. The college has limited outdoor sports facilities due to lack of playground, and a qualified Physical Training Instructor. The college provides facilities for selected indoor games, in the common rooms. There is a vehicle parking shed and the college canteen open from 10.30.A.M. to 5.30 P.M. on all the working days .As most of the students come from nearby villages and enough bus facilities are available the college has not felt the necessity of a hostel.
Scholarship / Concession in Tution Fees
Financial aids are available to the SC/ST, OBC/MOBC categories of students through scholarship from the state and central government. Financial aids are also available to poor students from a fund generated by the faculty members of the College.
Concessions in tution fees are granted to the poor but meritorious students as per Government rules and regulations. Application has to be made in the prescribed form to be had from the College office. Concession in tution fees shall be discontinued if the students’ conduct, attendance and progress are found unsatisfactory.
Identity Card
Each student must possess a photo- identity card issued by the College and shall produce it whenever demanded by the authority.
Cycle Stand
For the interest of the students and to avoid theft or loss of cycle, there is a cycle stand.
Student's Canteen
Good food, snacks and tea are supplied to the students at subsidized rates from the students’ canteen.
Common Room
College provides separate Girls’ and Boys’ common Room with indoor game facilities.
